The Democratic and Republican candidates for Registrar of Voters both run separate races. It is a vote for 1 and 2 are elected; one from each party. This is different from the other positions we will vote on this fall.
Charles Murray

Background
Charlie joined the Registrars’ office in 2013 as Deputy Registrar. Assumed the position as Democratic Registrar of Voters and later elected to that position.
Experience
He has participated in the ROVAC’s conference planning committee. He completed the ROV Certification Program and is a certified elections Moderator.,
He is retired from Travelers Insurance, has held leadership positions in professional organization, Greater Hartford Jaycee, USSVI Submarine Base Groton and as Chair of the Glastonbury Democratic Party.
Lisbeth Becker

Background
Lisbeth joined the Registrars’ office in February 2012 as Deputy Registrar. With two primaries and a Presidential election in 2012, it was a whirlwind immersion into the world of running elections.
Elected November 2016 as Republican Registrar of Voters, she is in her sixth year as a registrar, and in 2022 she will be running for her fourth term.
Experience
Over the past several years, she has chaired our Technology committee, sat on the Legislative committee, been a member of ROVAC’s Board of Directors, and represented the State of Connecticut on the Federal Election Assistance Commission on the Standards Board. Most recently, she represented ROVAC on a RFP selection committee.
Her prior experience was commercial banking in MA and CT and, prior to that, legislative lobbying in Washington, D.C.
