Platform Issues

These platform issues were described in a letter on his website.

  • I will focus on my work forcing utilities to pay back consumers more than $100 million for their failed response to tropical storm Isaias
  • Leading the multi-state price-fixing litigation against Big Pharma

Jessica Kordas

Attorney Kordas is an ambitious and dedicated trial lawyer. She has earned the reputation as a meticulously prepared and diligent advocate.  She is always ready to fight for her clients, whether in court or settlement negotiations.   She brings a natural gift for protecting others and great compassion to her representation and she believes deeply in standing up for the individual against corporations and large insurance companies.

I am seeking the office of Attorney General of Connecticut because it is time to stand up and demand that the government, and the state’s largest law firm, works for the people. The office of the Attorney General, and the government, must no longer be a platform for self-interested politicians.

Jessica Kordas

Attorney Kordas has a unique professional background .   Her experience includes managing and reorganizing medical facilities; researching, drafting preparing trading agreements for execution and assisting financial traders in maintaining licensing and credentials.  This background is in addition to her legal experience that has included management of large scale criminal defense and life-altering injury litigation.   Her background allows her the ability to view a case not only as a lawyer, but also through the eyes of a business person and medical clinician.

Licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, Attorney Kordas has had the benefit of appearing in multiple  jurisdictions, including all state courts in Connecticut, and the Town, Village and Supreme Courts in New York.

Attorney Kordas earned her BGS from the University of Connecticut in Law and Society.  She earned her Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude, all while working full time for a Greenwich financial firm.  Attorney Kordas is a member of the National Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers, New York Bar Association, and Fairfield County Bar Association.

Having grown up in Norwalk, Connecticut,  (Go Senators!), Jessica has successfully merged her love for the practice of law with her desire to give back to a community that has given her so much.

Platform Issues

Kordas has campaigned with the slogan, “Freedom is not negotiable.” She hopes to “finally change CT for the better.”

Kordas views the position for Attorney General as being a lawyer “for the people,” not the “governor’s lawyer,” and aims to “make sure Connecticut’s largest law firm goes back to its main focus…An advocate and a lawyer for all citizens in the state of Connecticut.”

In May, she was endorsed by the Republican National Hispanic Assembly of Connecticut. The Assembly said they have confidence in her to protect Connecticut’s freedoms, which they said could include freedom of speech, right to bear arms, religious freedoms, or rights to parents to have input in their child’s education.
